In December of 2023 I was diagnosed with PROBABLE renal cell carcinoma and advised to keep an eye on it’s growth rather than do any invasive procedures (like biopsy) due to my age (68 at that time). It has grown a miniscule amount and I went on a mainly plant based diet since the diagnosis. I have been eating buckwheat bread daily and ofen eat raw greens salads, I eat a lot of oxalate containing foods and experience many of the symptoms Sally Norton describes. My question -Does it seem likely that the development of a renal cell carcinoma could be associated with oxalate overload? I am so loathe to start another dietary restriction/change as I have done so many of them for about 50 years.
